Dollar Exchange Rate Reached 338 Million Rubles In Belarus Without Taking Into Account Denominations

This is a record among the countries of the former USSR.

At the auction of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange on November 16, 2024, the US dollar exchange rate reached a new historical maximum of 3.38 rubles. Based on the results of the auction, the National Bank set the same official rate for November 18.

Without taking into account the denominations of 1994, 2000 and 2016, the dollar exchange rate is 338,000,000 rubles.

In terms of the degree of depreciation of the national currency against the US dollar (since 1991), Belarus remains the leader among the former republics of the USSR, according to an analysis of exchange rates conducted by Pozirki without taking into account monetary reforms.

Following Belarus in the top five were Uzbekistan - 12,812,300, Turkmenistan - 8,750,000, Ukraine - 4,127,960 and Georgia - 2,731,100.
