Later, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper said that Odesa was subjected to a missile attack.

“Russian terrorists launched a missile attack on Odesa. There are victims and wounded. Civil infrastructure, in particular residential buildings, was damaged,” Kiper said.

The press service of the mayor's office said that, according to the heads of educational institutions where children are in duty groups, the pupils managed to go to shelter, now they are with educators.

On social media, people write that they see smoke rising up and bodies of people on the road. According to some reports, the missile hit the courtyard of a multi-story residential building.

According to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, multi-story residential buildings in the center of Odesa are currently burning. He reported that 8 people were killed and many were injured. Another missile that did not explode was in the building of an educational institution.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak also commented on the attack on the city.

“In Odesa, Russians killed people with a targeted strike on civilian infrastructure. Russian killers are no longer even hiding their intentions,” he emphasized.
