It has weakened Tehran's defence and missile production capabilities.

Last month's Israeli air attack on Iran hit an element of Tehran's nuclear programme. It weakened the country's defence and missile production capabilities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this, according to Reuters.

‘It's not a secret. There is a certain component in their nuclear programme that was hit by this attack,’ Netanyahu said.

He did not name which component he was referring to, but added that Iran's path to a nuclear weapon had not been cut off.

Reuters reminded that Israeli fighter jets carried out three waves of attacks on Iranian military sites on October 26. This came weeks after Iran fired some 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. The clash generally follows a previous exchange of direct such in April.

In his speech, Netanyahu provided a few additional details about what Israel targeted in the attacks.

Specifically, in April, an Israeli strike destroyed one of four Russian-supplied batteries of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles around the Iranian capital of Tehran.

And in October, Israel destroyed the remaining three batteries and severely damaged Iran's ability to produce ballistic missiles and the solid propellant used in long-range ballistic missiles.
