The American currency will laugh at the dictator's funeral finnaly.
At the trades on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange on Monday, November 18, the dollar set a new record - 3.3897 rubles. A number of Belarusian banks are already selling the dollar at their exchange offices for over 3.4 rubles.
The euro and the Russian ruble have also risen in price.
It is curious that just six months ago, Aliaksandr Lukashenka publicly predicted the dollar's fall, writes Salidarnasс.
"The dollar is about to collapse. Now neither the dollar nor the euro is needed by anyone. And this is no longer only in Belarus and Russia - this is already in many countries. <..> I am saying this because I have spoken with many leaders," the 'most informed ruler in the world' reported exclusive information.
The dollar exchange rate on that day was: 1 dollar = 3.2313 rubles.
However, Lukashenka has been engaged in the “crash” of the American currency for a long time and with pleasure. “The dollar will become cheaper”, “Be careful with this dollar”, “This dollar exchange rate will collapse”, “Why grab these pieces of paper”, “What are dollars for in the next world?” - this is what we have been hearing for 30 years.
Although the reality looks somewhat different, this does not prevent the ruler from “burying” the American currency (and the euro along with it) from year to year. And here is how it was.
2009
Lukashenka began to promise the collapse of the dollar especially actively after the New Year's devaluation of the ruble in 2009.
"It is not known what else will happen to the dollar and the euro... We even expect that we will need to strengthen the ruble, and the dollar will become cheaper." (09.12.2009)
At that time, the National Bank exchange rate was: 1 dollar = 2645 rubles.
2010
"I want to warn you. You see what is happening with the dollar. The Americans decided to support their economy and are throwing at least 600 billion dollars into it. In such cases, currency devaluation usually occurs. Therefore, be careful with this dollar. I warn you."(12.11.2010)
At that time, the National Bank exchange rate was: 1 dollar = 3030 rubles.
2011
And then the national currency collapsed.
— As you perfectly understand, it is only in Belarus that our smart Belarusians, the "conscious ones", or at their instigation, are grabbing these dollar bills. You perfectly understand that today there is a colossal pumping of dollars into the world economy, which can lead to another collapse of this economy. We all know this. The same thing is happening on the euro market. These euro-papers are being pumped up again... (10.06.2011).
At that time, the National Bank rate was: 1 dollar = 4961 rubles.
"Now we will combine both sessions into one in literally a few days, and the dollar rate will collapse. To be honest, we supported the high dollar rate without interfering, acting carefully in some places."(18.10.2011).
At that time, the National Bank rate was: 1 dollar = 5692 rubles.
And by December 31, 2011, the dollar was already worth 8,350 rubles instead of last year's 3,000 thousand. The total devaluation in just ten months was 189%.
2014
On December 18, 2014, the ruler of Belarus promised that there would be no devaluation.
At that time, the National Bank rate was: 1 dollar = 10880 rubles.
The very next day, the Belarusian currency did what Lukashenka predicted for the dollar – it collapsed. The nosedive was protracted.
And then – like clockwork.
On December 18, 2015, the National Bank rate was: 1 dollar = 18,338 rubles.
On January 18, 2016, the National Bank rate was: 1 dollar = 20,132 rubles.
And then, in July 2016, there was a denomination, and the dollar began to cost a “modest” 2 rubles with a bit, without getting any cheaper.
And here it is – 2024 – and new gloomy forecasts for the dollar from the Belarusian Nostradamus. And with them, new anti-records for the ruble.
Apparently, the funeral of the dollar has been postponed again for an indefinite period.
