Ukrainian Forces Recapture Positions, Taking Russian Soldiers Prisoner Near Toretsk

The fighters of the special battalion “Shkval” of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign managed to recapture positions, stabilize the situation in one of the sections near Toretsk in the Donetsk region and take Russian soldiers prisoner, the press service of this brigade reported on Facebook.

“The enemy desperately tried to stop our soldiers with drones, but to no avail. High-quality training, planning and motivation of the knights played a decisive role,” the report says.

The positions are now under the control of Ukrainian defenders. During the assault, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated two Russians, the same number of occupiers surrendered, and others fled.

The commander of one of the assault groups showed footage of the “cleansing” of the positions.
