ATACMS Hit More Important Target Than Just Airplanes At Khalino Airbase

The Russians were left with no "eyes and ears".

The Khalino airfield in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation hosted Su-25 aircraft and helicopters. At the same time, this airfield was not used by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation as actively as other air bases of the Russian Federation.

This is the opinion of a group of analysts from Frontelligence Insight.

It is known that from the very beginning of October, the Russian Federation decided to strengthen the Khalino airfield, building new fortifications and strengthening those that already existed, according to the resource Frontelligence Insight.

At the time of the missile strike, the construction work was never completed but was at the final stage.

According to OSINT analyst Tatarigami_UA, the Kremlin has practically not used the Khalino airfield recently, so it is difficult to say how much aviation there was yesterday at the time of the strikes.

It is possible that the AFU targeted the air defence system, radars and supply depots. As a result, the airfield will become incapacitated for some time.

As a result, analysts from Frontelligence Insight concluded that the aircraft could not have suffered significantly. Still, the enemy was left without "eyes and ears" in the form of air defence and radar. As a result, this object can now be attacked by attack drones.

Journalists from the Forbes resource came to almost the same opinion.

They are also sure that the main goal of yesterday's strike on Khalino is to disable the airfield itself.

This is very good news for the 20,000 Ukrainian fighters in the Kursk region with the 50,000-strong army of Putin and Kim. In the Kursk region, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation uses the services of the Khalino airfield, where Su-25 aircraft are based.

Since 2022, the Ukrainian Forces have destroyed or damaged about 30 Su-25 aircraft out of 200 that were in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces.

It is possible that yesterday's strike also destroyed or disabled a couple more Su-25s.

Monday's ATACMS strike is the third major Ukrainian deep strike on strategic targets in and around Kursk since the US, and later Britain and France, allowed Ukraine to use its best foreign-made missiles against targets inside Russia.
