Retribution for war crimes followed immediately.
An explosion in Moscow kills Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, chief of the Russian Armed Forces' radiation, chemical, and biological defense troops. The Security Service of Ukraine is behind the operation to eliminate him, RBC-Ukraine reports with a reference to its sources.
A scooter with explosives was detonated when Kirillov and his assistant were entering the entrance of a house on Ryazanskiy Prospekt in Moscow. They were both killed.
“Kirillov was a war criminal and a legitimate target, as he gave orders to use banned chemical weapons against the Ukrainian military. Such an ignominious end awaits all those who kill Ukrainians. Retribution for war crimes is inevitable,” said an informed source.
Yesterday, the Security Service served Kirillov with a notice of suspicion in absentia for the massive use of banned chemical weapons against the Ukrainian forces in eastern and southern Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers found that, on Kirillov's order, more than 4,800 cases of Russia's use of chemical munitions with irritant substances, such as CN and CS (tear gas), have been recorded since the beginning of the full-scale war. Russian channels openly reported on their use.
Russian propaganda channels were the first to report on the explosion that killed the Russian army general and his aide. The media have already pointed out that Kirillov is the third lieutenant general killed in the war with Ukraine and the first with this rank to die in the rear.
The odious Russian general has made several statements since the start of the invasion about “American laboratories” in Ukraine that allegedly developed “biological weapons.” In October, Kirillov accused Kyiv of using chemical weapons against “some Russian opinion leaders.”
