Ukraine compensates for quantity with quality.
In the Kursk region of Russia, there is not trench warfare, but maneuver warfare, and there “we hold the initiative all the time”. This was said on the air of «Radio NV» by Yevhen Dykyi, a former company commander in the Aidar battalion.
Speaking about the Kursk region of Russia, he noted: “There is not trench warfare there, there is maneuver warfare, very mobile. And look how we beat them there. Look how much we actually hold the initiative all the time.”
Dykyi added that there “constantly 10 thousand of our defenders, male and female, have been holding back 60-70 thousand orcs for six months now.”
“And they are not just holding back, they are regularly beating them. And the losses are always in our favor with a very significant advantage... The fact that this has become possible at all — one to 60 — is a maneuver war, not a trench war, where, unfortunately, a lot is decided by the sheer amount of “meat”. But here, where brains decide, you see how much better our brains are,” said Dykyi.
So, he emphasized, in a maneuver war “everything depends on the quality of troop control and, in particular, on competent officers at the lower level, on the spot, and, in particular, on how this vertical command and information transfer are organized.”
“And so the Kursk region shows that we are stronger in such a war. Yes, unfortunately, you can't always realize this advantage in a trench war, where enemy infantry is simply coming at you wave after wave, and where you simply cannot solve the problem in any other way than with a significant number of your own forces,” the ex-commander noted.
He added that “no matter how much smarter you are than the enemy, when wave after wave of infantry simply goes to the fortifications, then there should still be a comparable number of people in these fortifications, and we have a problem with that.”
“But where we can, we compensate for the problem of quantity with quality. And, in particular, the quality of command,” said Dykyi.
