There is a scandal around.
The head of the Timashevsky district of the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation, b>Andrei Paliy/b>, during one of the meetings in the local administration, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that he has to contact the relatives of the deceased participants in the invasion of Ukraine. "Do you think it's easy for me to walk around and smell the smell from the coffin?" he complained. Paliy added that he does not intend to "bow at the feet of mothers" and "talk all sorts of crap," The Moscow Times writes.
The official noted that he does not consider it his duty to visit the families of deceased servicemen. According to him, the transfer of medals and orders that come by mail, as well as communication with the relatives of soldiers and officers killed in Ukraine should be part of the duties of military registration and enlistment offices. However, as Paliy noted, he carries out these actions "in a humane manner" in order to "avoid internal unrest".
This is not the first time Andriy Paliy has made harsh statements against the families of those who fought in the war with Ukraine. In December 2024, an audio recording appeared online in which he insults Ekateryna Sandetskaya, an activist and mother of the deceased "hero of the SVO" [SVO stands for the so-called Special Military Operation, the invasion of Ukraine in fact - Ed.] In the recording, the official calls Sandetskaya a "stupid animal" and accuses her of "paralyzing the work of the administration." Paliy also denies accusations of insulting the families of the deceased. In his Telegram channel, he called the distribution of such information the "work for the enemy" and "an attempt to quarrel us from inside".
