‘Sannikov Brings Hope’

Belarusians of Toronto have reported on their meeting with the European Belarus leader.

The Belarusian Centre in Toronto (Canada) hosted a meeting of European Belarus civil campaign leader Andrei Sannikov with representatives of the Belarusian diaspora.

This is reported by the Belarusian Canadian Alliance:

- On 15 January 2025, we had the honour to meet Andrei Sannikov - a well-known figure of the Belarusian opposition and an unwavering defender of democracy and human rights in Belarus.

The meeting, held at the Belarusian Centre in Toronto, brought together representatives of the Belarusian diaspora who are deeply committed to fighting for the freedom of their homeland.

During the conversation, Sannikov's courage and determination to confront the repressive regime in Belarus became evident.

He shared his personal stories, spoke about the current difficulties of the Belarusian people, and emphasised the importance of international support for the democratic movement.

His leadership and resilience in the face of tremendous adversity is truly impressive, leaving us with a restored sense of hope and determination to continue to support the struggle for freedom and justice in Belarus.
