Marco Rubio Discusses Gaza, Hostages, Syria With Israeli, Egyptian Foreign Ministers

US Secretary of State emphasised Trump's consistent support for Israel.

On Thursday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and emphasised the Trump administration's continued support for Israel, and congratulated him on the recent release of hostages and the Gaza ceasefire. Rubio also pledged to work tirelessly to free all remaining hostages held in Gaza.

In a separate conversation, Rubio and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reiterated the importance of the US-Egypt strategic partnership to promote regional peace and security. They discussed Egypt's mediation efforts, humanitarian aid in Gaza, the situation in Syria and the need for a diplomatic solution on the Nile River.
