An analysis of military transport aircraft flights points to this.
Ukraine could have received the first batches of Russian weapons captured by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during military operations in the Middle East.
This was reported by the OSINTdefender monitoring center, which specializes in the analysis of military conflicts in Europe and other regions of the world.
According to its data, several American C-17 military transport aircraft belonging to the US Air Force flew from Germany to Israel and then to the Polish city of Rzeszow.
This settlement is a key logistics center for military aid provided to Ukraine by the United States and NATO countries.
What exactly the planes were transporting remains unknown. However, Israel previously stated that it was considering transferring Russian weapons captured in the Middle East to Ukraine.
Possible deliveries include tanks, anti-tank guided missiles, and ammunition.
This is in addition to the Patriot air defence systems that Tel Aviv also planned to transfer to Kyiv, OSINTdefender notes.
In the fall of 2024, the Israeli military discovered an underground Hezbollah base in southern Lebanon. The facility served as a command center for the elite Radwan unit and a warehouse for various weapons, including Russian ones. The weapons found included rockets, mortar shells, Kalashnikov assault rifles, ammunition, body armor, and more.
On January 21, 2025, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel reported that Tel Aviv had offered to transfer Russian weapons captured by the IDF to Kyiv. The Ukrainian side called this step important and expressed hope for a positive decision. The embassy's statement emphasized that such an initiative demonstrates Israel's understanding of the common threats facing Kyiv and Tel Aviv.
