Russia Reports Massive Drone Attack on 'Nuclear Facility' And More

The infrastructure in the Smolensk and Tver regions of Russia was attacked.

The Russian Federation is under a large-scale attack by attack drones. The infrastructure in the Smolensk and Tver regions was attacked.

RBC-Ukraine reported citing to the governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin.

Thus, in the Smolensk region, drones are attacking civilian infrastructure, one drone was shot down.

In different areas of the Smolensk region, civilian facilities were subjected to a massive UAV attack. They are currently being destroyed by air defence and electronic warfare systems of the Russian MoD.

"According to preliminary information, one of the drones was shot down while attempting to attack a nuclear power facility," Anokhin noted.

Tver Region

Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya reported repelling an attack by 14 UAVs over the region's Toropetsky District. There is no information on casualties or damage.

Bryansk Region

Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported in his Telegram channel that 26 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including 3 jets, were intercepted and destroyed by the Russian Defense Ministry's air defence forces.

"There are no casualties. Operational and emergency services are surveying the areas," he said.

Airport closures

At the Kazan airport, the "Carpet" plan was introduced due to the threat of a drone attack. Flights were delayed on departure and arrival. The restrictions have now been lifted.

Later, Rosaviatsia reported that restrictions were also introduced for flights at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport due to the threat of a drone attack. At this airport, planes were delayed on departure and arrival.
