‘Poisoned By Russian Federation Propaganda’: Ukraine Sharply Responds To Fitzo
ROBERT FITZO

The Slovak premier was advised to look in the mirror.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reacted to the recent high-profile statements by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo. The ministry regards them as an attempt to shift the politician's responsibility for failures in domestic policy to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported this.

The Foreign Ministry commentary notes that Fitzo, against the background of falling confidence among the Slovak society and protests against his pro-Russian course, ‘resorted to the search for enemies and found them in Ukraine’.

‘We regard these latest absurd statements as an attempt to shift responsibility for his own failures in domestic politics to foreign states and leaders. We advise you to look not abroad, but in the mirror,’ the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the Ukrainian side has repeatedly warned about the danger of the pro-Russian policy of the Slovak leadership.

‘The result is obvious: Robert Fitzo and some parliamentary figures of Slovakia have been poisoned by Russian propaganda, stopped distinguishing between black and white, and now have already started calling the leaders of neighbouring friendly democracies ‘enemies’,’ the ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry is also convinced that such a position and policy of Robert Fitzo ‘goes against the choice of the Slovak people to be an integral part of the European community’.
