Over 700 Belarusians And Russians Recognized As Threat To Lithuania's Security Last Year

All of these people are banned from entering Lithuania.

Last year, 598 Belarusians and 125 Russians were recognized as a threat to Lithuania's national security, delfi.lt reports with reference to the Migration Department.

According to calculations, last year, 179 out of 598 Belarusians posing a threat were not issued a temporary residence permit in Lithuania, 232 did not have their document extended.

At the initiative of the Migration Department, residence permits of 175 Belarusian citizens were abolished. Another three Belarusians were not issued a permanent residence permit in Lithuania, and 9 were deprived of this document.

35 out of 125 Russians were not issued a temporary residence permit in Lithuania, 36 did not have it extended. Another 24 Russian citizens were deprived of their previously received temporary residence permits, and 29 were deprived of their permanent residence permits in Lithuania. For the first time, 16 Russians were denied permanent residence permits in Lithuania.

All of these people are banned from entering Lithuania.
