Gold Prices Set New All-Time High

Last year, gold became one of the most profitable commodities.
The price of gold has once again broken its all-time high. April gold futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) as of 18:00 Minsk time rose by 1.48%, to $2835.1 per ounce.
By 18:35 Minsk time, growth accelerated to 1.76%, gold was trading at $2842.7 per ounce.
The previous all-time high for gold was reached at the October 30, 2024, auction at $2801.8 per ounce.
Investors are worried about the risks of US President Donald Trump introducing trade tariffs, Reuters writes. The market is also preparing for the publication of an important inflation report, which will allow assessing the prospects for further US Federal Reserve policy.
Gold prices have hit several new records in 2024, helped by the Fed's move to looser monetary policy, geopolitical tensions, and aggressive gold buying by major central banks. Gold was one of the best-performing major commodities last year, rising 27%.
