Five-Story Building In Poltava Hit By Russian Missile, People Were Sleeping Inside

On Saturday morning, February 1, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the civilian and energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Also, as reported by the Air Force, the Russians used UAVs.
According to the Poltava Regional State Administration, there was a hit on a residential building in the regional center. There is also damage to the energy infrastructure in the Mirgorod district. There, a total of 165 consumers were left without power.
The Poltavshchyna publication reports that a Russian Kh-22 missile hit a five-story building at about 7:50. As a result of the hit, the entrance of the building collapsed.
According to the State Emergency Service, as a result of the attack, the entrance from the 1st to the 5th floor was destroyed, 2 people were killed. Another 7 were injured, including a child. Emergency workers rescued 21 people.
Neighbouring houses and 12 cars were damaged.
Acting Mayor of Poltava Ekaterina Yamshchikova noted that a temporary reception center for victims had been set up in the premises of School No. 13, where psychologists were already working.
Later, rescuers added that the death toll had risen to 3 people. 10 people were injured.
Kharkiv
The Russians also attacked the Kharkiv region. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Sinehubov, over the past 24 hours the enemy sent 17 UAVs and 6 missiles at civilians and infrastructure facilities. In the Kholodnogorsk district of Kharkiv, a woman was killed and 5 were injured as a result of the attack.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that one private house was partially destroyed as a result of the “Shakhed” hit. According to preliminary information, another 16 private houses were damaged.
