Russian Businesses Accuse Kyrgyzstan Of Extortion

One more "friendly country" lost.

Russian companies are allegedly facing illegal actions and extortion in Kyrgyzstan.

This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with the head of the Kyrgyz government Adylbek Kasymaliev, Kommersant reports.

Mishustin said that the companies are receiving "unfounded claims" from high-ranking Kyrgyz officials. The companies themselves, according to him, are "respectable, conscientious" organizations that are among the largest taxpayers.

"We ask that the leadership of Kyrgyzstan stop administrative pressure on our companies and ensure the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Russian investors," the prime minister of the aggressor country added.

He also clarified that specific facts of illegal actions are set out in a diplomatic note sent by the Russian Foreign Ministry to the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan.
