The United States is interested in lasting peace in Europe.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said on Saturday, February 22, that he had spoken with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about "results-oriented Ukrainian-American dialogue and achieving a fair end to the nearly three-year war with Russia," the Ukrainian diplomat wrote on his page on X, according to Polish Radio.

"On the eve of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale aggression, I emphasized Ukraine's strong will to achieve a comprehensive, fair and lasting peace. The United States is interested in lasting peace in Europe, a peace that will strengthen Ukraine and the United States," Andriy Sybiga emphasized.

In addition, the Ukrainian diplomat spoke with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, in particular to "thank Poland for its strong support and continue the fruitful dialogue between our countries."

"We discussed our cooperation in international organizations and coordinated positions on the eve of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale aggression," the head of Ukrainian diplomacy said.

The day before, on February 21, a meeting of the heads of the American and Polish foreign policy departments took place in Washington.

Following these negotiations, Radosław Sikorski said that "the United States is interested in long-term peace in Europe."
