Belarusian Government Has Resigned

However, Lukashenka did not let them go.

The Belarusian government has resigned. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Raman Halouchanka. Aliaksandr Lukashenka, in turn, signed a decree on February 3 extending the government's powers.

“In order to ensure the smooth operation of the executive vertical of power,” Lukashenka, by his decree, instructed the prime minister, his deputies, ministers, heads of state committees and the head of the Office of the Council of Ministers to continue to perform their duties until the formation of a new government.
