Lukashenka has dismissed the head of the National Bank, Pavel Kallaur. He headed the main bank of the country for 10 years.

Pavel Kallaur became head of the National Bank in late 2014, having replaced Nadzeya Ermakova.

Pavel Kallaur was born in 1962 in the village of Belausha in Stolin region. He graduated from the Pinsk Accounting and Credit Technical School (1980) and the Belarusian State Institute of National Economy named after Kuibyshev (1985). Candidate of Economic Sciences (2001).

Worked in the Staubtsy, Biaroza and Valozhyn branches of the USSR State Bank (1985-1987), headed the Valozhyn branch of the USSR Agroprombank (later Belahraprombank) (1988-1993).

He worked in the system of the National Bank (1993-2010), first as Deputy Chairman of the Board, from 1999 - First Deputy.

Chairman of the Board of BelVEB Bank (2010-2014). Chairman of the Board of the National Bank (2014-2025).
