Atypical Increase Of ARI Incidence Recorded In One Of Belarusian Districts

In February, the number of people suffering from acute respiratory infections in Dziatlava district was 1.5 times more than in January. According to ‘Euroradio’, the local district newspaper published the relevant data. Perhaps, such a rise is also present in other districts of Belarus.
The rise in the ARI incidence is registered in the district - by 48.2%. In February, 1101 cases of infection were registered in the district, where about 23 thousand people live. Children were sick most often: their share among the sick was 67.9%. In particular, it's noticeably more than the official average figure in Belarus - about 58%.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health claims that everything is under control: ‘Now the epidemiological situation in Belarus is assessed as controlled. There is a gradual increase in the number of the sick. At the same time, the officials add that ‘the level of ARI incidence is below the epidemic level’.
