A lot of Russians will be killed.

If the aggressor country Russian Federation does not agree to a 30-day ceasefire, the war will continue. This was stated by US President Donald Trump at a briefing at the White House on 11 March on the results of US-Ukrainian negotiations in Saudi Arabia. The briefing was broadcast by Fox News.

The American president hopes that Moscow, as well as Kyiv, will agree to a ceasefire, otherwise the US will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

‘If we can get Russia to do that, that's great. If we can't, then we'll just keep going and a lot of people will be killed,’ Trump said.

He also announced a conversation with Russia's illegitimate President Vladimir Putin.

On 11 March, Ukraine and the US held talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Earlier, a representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Heorhiy Tykhiy, said that the central topic of their meeting would be ‘the path to peace’.

Following the meeting, the USA and Ukraine made a joint statement saying that Washington would immediately resume military assistance to Ukraine and exchange of intelligence information. In addition, the USA offered the Ukrainian delegation a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine for 30 days with the possibility of prolongation by mutual agreement of the parties. Kyiv agreed to this, the next step is up to Moscow, which the United States has pledged to talk to. Trump's national security adviser Mike Waltz said that he would communicate with the Russian side ‘in the coming days’.
