There are casualties.

In the morning of March 26, there was a fire on the Russian refrigeration vessel of Crystal Asia eight kilometres from the port of Kamcheon in Busan, South Korea. There are injured among the crew members.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to ‘RIA Novosti’.

According to the representative of the company-ship-owner of ‘Trans Wind Fleet’, the fire on the ship occurred due to an explosion in the engine room.

According to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation (RF), 23 people were on the ship at the time of the fire, including 22 Russians. Six injured Russian citizens are now known, two of whom are in serious condition.

‘The people were injured mainly because they were cut by glass (as a result of the blast wave, - ed.),’ the source told RIA Novosti.

The causes of the explosion in the engine room are still unknown.

‘Now the vessel is moored in the port of Busan, will stay under repair. Before that, a small repair was carried out in Korea, and the ship went on the trip without cargo,’ added the interlocutor.
