The U.S. President stated that "the option was not off the table"
U.S. President Donald Trump once again hinted that his country might attempt to take control of Greenland, even through military force.
This was reported by NBC News.
The White House leader reiterated that there is a "high probability that we can do this without military force" but clarified that he is "not taking any options off the table."
When asked what message the possible annexation of Greenland would send to Russia and the rest of the world, the president responded: "I’m not thinking about that. I don’t care."
"Greenland is a very separate issue, completely different. It’s about the international world. It’s about international security and strength. You have ships from Russia, China, and many other places sailing near Greenland. And we won’t allow anything to happen that could harm the world or the United States," Trump said.
