More and more rumours about the participation of Ukraine's ambassador to the UK in the elections appear in the media.
Participating or not participating in the elections of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the country's ambassador to the UK Valeriy Zaluzhny is still the main factor of uncertainty. And the former commander-in-chief himself is not hurrying to clarify the situation in conversations with numerous emissaries from Kyiv's political circles.
This is stated in the article ‘Elections, Trump and the Ceasefire. What the Authorities and the Opposition are Afraid of and Preparing for’ of RBC-Ukraine.
Lack of specifics always gives rise to rumours. In the case of Zaluzhny, some people say that he will definitely run in the presidential elections, others say that he is inclined to run in the Rada elections at the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's political force, while others claim that Zaluzhny will not go to the elections at all - mainly because of his recent ratings.
Asked by RBC-Ukraine to comment on the rumours that he may go to the elections with Zelensky's party or that he may have decided not to run at all, Zaluzhny himself said: ‘My answer to this question has not changed. While the war is on, we all need to work for preserving the country, and not to think about the elections. I don't comment on various rumours.’
