Prices No Longer Obey Lukashenka

Inflation is accelerating in Belarus.

April brings new changes to Belarusians. Among them are an increase in the limit for the European protocol, a basic mobile tariff, and some other innovations. But the fair pricing formula promised by the authorities is not yet visible, which cannot be said about the announced price increase.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has instructed to develop a fair pricing formula by April 1, which “will not put pressure on entrepreneurs — producers, nor will it put pressure on consumers.” So far, only a price increase is planned for April, writes the website of the Belsat TV channel.

What will go up in price in April

From April 1, some types of Korona, Dove, Pall Mall, ESSE, Camel, Kent, Rothmans, Lucky Strike, Red Bor, RB PERLIAMUTR, RIGINS ORIGINAL cigarettes, as well as Richmond Compact Special Blue, will go up in price by 5-30 kapeykas.

Also, from April 1, the Malanka network of electric charging stations will increase tariffs for charging electric vehicles. At fast stations, a fee is also introduced for using the connector after charging is complete — Br 0.3 per minute. You have 20 minutes to disconnect from the station free of charge.

From April 1, the basic rental amount will increase by 5.7% to Br 18.77. On its basis, the amount of rent is determined for real estate in state ownership, as well as in the ownership of business partnerships with a state share of more than 50%.
