US Soldiers Missing On Lithuania-Belarus Border Die

An investigation has been initiated.

After the drowned US tracked armoured repair and recovery vehicle (ARV) was extracted on Monday from a swamp near the firing range in Lithuania's Pabrada on the border with Belarus, the prosecutor's office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the deaths of the soldiers on board.

‘A pre-trial investigation has been launched to find out the causes of death,’ Lithuanian Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė said in the Seimas on Monday, LRT reported.

She says the prosecutor has arrived at the scene and the investigation is being conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office.
