United Russia Presents Meat Grinders To Fallen Soldiers' Mothers

The ‘Flowers to the Mothers of Heroes’ campaign organised by the women's movement of the United Russia party has been held in the town of Polyarnye Zori (Murmansk region of the Russian Federation).

As part of the event, timed to 8 March, mothers of servicemen killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine were given flowers, as well as meat grinders, writes Mediazona, which drew attention to the post of the local branch of ‘United Russia’ on the VKontakte social network.

The published photos show the branch secretary Anna Makhunova and the town head Maxim Chengaev presenting the women with household appliances along with flowers.

Last October, the UK Ministry of Defence estimated Russia's total losses at 648,000 people (of which 200,000 killed and 448,000 wounded). At the same period: the Pentagon called similar data - 615 thousand losses, including 115 thousand dead and 500 thousand wounded. In February this year, US President Donald Trump estimated Russian losses at 800-900 thousand people, including killed and seriously wounded.
