Ukrainian Defense Ministry: Russia Experiences Record Equipment Losses

March was a “black” month for the Russian Federation.

In March, the army of the aggressor country Russia lost the most artillery systems and vehicles since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, March 1.

The Ukrainian military has destroyed 1,644 Russian artillery systems this month. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed and knocked out a record number of Russian artillery systems on March 27 — 122 units.

In the first three months of 2025, Russia lost 3,990 artillery systems. The Defense Ministry compared that in the first quarter of 2024, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 2,600 enemy artillery systems.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 3,545 enemy vehicles and tankers in March. Russians lost the most vehicles on March 27 — 210 cars.
