AFP: Pentagon Chief Will Join Ramstein Meeting Via Video Link

The Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting will take place tomorrow in Brussels.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will participate in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format on Friday, April 11, via video link, AFP reports citing a Pentagon representative, as quoted by Kyiv Post.

"Secretary Austin plans to virtually participate in the UDCG meeting on Friday, April 11," the AFP source said.

The Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format will take place on April 11 in Brussels.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the meeting will discuss, among other things, strengthening Ukraine's air defense. The issue of contingents and new defense packages will also be raised.

On April 3, Defense News, citing sources in the U.S. administration, reported that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin would not participate in the upcoming Ukraine Defense Contact Group Ramstein meeting on April 11 in Brussels.
