Biden Publicly Comments On Trump's Policies For The First Time

The new White House administration has been in office for less than 100 days, but has already “distinguished itself.”

The 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, made his first statement since the end of his term in office, publicly commenting on Donald Trump's activities.

According to CNN, Biden spoke at the Conference of Advocates, Advisors, and Representatives of Persons with Disabilities. The main topic of his speech was the social security program.

He criticized the new administration's attempts to cut spending in this area, calling social security “not just a government program, but a sacred promise.” Biden added that people who have been paying insurance premiums since the beginning of their professional careers hope to receive payments. “That hope cannot be betrayed, and that responsibility cannot be ignored,” he said.

Biden also harshly commented on Trump's actions on social programs. He said that the head of the White House in less than 100 days in office "has made so much damage and so much destruction."

“In fewer than 100 days, this new administration has made so much damage and so much destruction. It’s kind of breathtaking,” he said.

Biden spoke for just under 30 minutes and did not directly mention Trump by name. According to NBC, he spoke very quietly and indistinctly.

“It was hard to hear Biden at times — so much so that those in the room during the event remained still and quiet to hear him speak,” the publication reports.

The Social Security administration later accused Biden of lying, claiming that Trump promised to protect the program, no office was closed, and that the information about cutting half the tech department was not true.
