‘Fountain’ Begins To Play Near the National Library In Minsk

The traffic is hampered.

On Wednesday, 2 April, a ‘fountain’ started to play near the National Library in Minsk. The video of the accident appeared on social networks, and was reported by the Minsk-Novosti state agency.

‘As a result of the burst water pipe near the National Library, the carriageway of Independence Avenue is flooded when moving towards the Minsk Ring Road, and the traffic on Independence Avenue from the side of Makayonak Street in the direction of Zhasminavaya Street is hampered,’ reported in the traffic police.

The traffic police asks to take into account this information when choosing a route.

‘The fountain’ at the National Library started playing due to damage to the pipe with a diameter of 1000 mm. It happened at 8.29 during the work of the builders, reported ‘Minskvodakanal.’ Work on localising the damage has already started.

The movement of public transport has changed due to the accident.

The movement of trolleybus route № 42 is organised along Filimonau, Kedyshko, Talbukhin, Kedyshka, Kalinouski streets; № 41 and buses of routes № 27, 80, 91, 95, 113c, 939 - along Filimonau, Kedyshka streets.
