Senator Lindsey Graham revealed plans against the Kremlin.
The U.S. Senate is ready to approve new sanctions against Russia if it "does not accept an honorable, fair, and lasting peace." In that case, the United States will impose secondary tariffs against any country that purchases Russian oil, gas, uranium, or other products. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated this.
In his X account, he announced that he had already submitted a bipartisan bill on new sanctions "against Putin’s Russia." The document has nearly 60 co-sponsors.
The sanctions provide secondary tariffs against states that buy oil, gas, or other products from Russia.
"The Senate is ready to move in this direction and will do so by an overwhelming majority if Russia does not accept an honorable, fair, and lasting peace," the senator explained.
Lindsey Graham also thanked Trump and his team "for their tireless efforts aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, which was caused by Putin’s barbaric invasion, in a dignified and fair manner."
