It has been revealed how much people will have to pay starting June 1.
In Belarus, some housing and utility services, namely heating and hot water heating, will become more expensive starting June 1. This was reported by the portal for public utility literacy.
Subsidized tariffs for heat supply—heating and hot water heating—are set to increase from June 1 to 27.2323 rubles per 1 Gcal. The rise will be 10.2%.
Here are the calculations for how costs will change for specific housing. For example, in a two-room apartment in Minsk with an area of 50 square meters, where one person is registered, the current cost for the consumed volume of 1.0163 Gcal of heating is 25.12 rubles. After June, it will be 27.68 rubles. The difference is 2.56 rubles.
For apartments where no one is registered, as well as for “parasite” rates, the tariffs were increased on January 1. These are about 5.5 times higher than the subsidized rates.
The last time subsidized heating and hot water tariffs were raised was in June 2023. They were also planned to be increased at the start of summer 2024—by almost 25%, but ultimately, this was not done.
