Duda Hails Special Spirit At Zelensky-Trump Meeting, Sees Potential For Peaceful Solutions

According to the Polish president, this will inspire new ideas for ending the war.

Polish President Andrzej Duda, commenting on the meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky at the funeral of Pope Francis, expressed hope that the "special spirit" would inspire "new ideas" for ending the war unleashed by Russia.

The Polish president made these remarks in a comment to Polsat News.

As is known, Zelensky stated that his meeting with Trump had the potential to become historic. The White House also called the meeting very productive.

"I hope that the special spirit prevailing there can inspire new solutions and ideas that will help end this war," Duda said.

He also added that the prompt end of the war is in the interest of Poland and the Polish people.

"It is in the interest of Poland and the Polish people that this war ends with a just peace that will also guarantee us peace, so we can truly develop without fear that someone will attack us," Duda concluded.
