Sales of spirits fell by 2.6%.
The National Statistics Committee of Belarus has released data on alcohol sales for the first quarter of 2025, writes tochka.by.
According to the National Statistics Committee, 1.9795 million dal of vodka was sold in the country from January to March 2024, while in the same period of 2025 this figure fell to 1.9277 million dal.
Thereby, the sales of strong alcohol fell by 2.6%.
In addition, there was a decrease in the sales of grape and fruit wines by 2.9 and 7% respectively.
Liqueurs and liquor products showed a slight decline of 0.2%. Beer sales decreased by 1.4%, although in absolute figures the sales volume remains high - 8.912 million dal in the first quarter of 2025 compared to 9.0369 million dal in the same period last year.
The positive trends include the growth in sales of cognac, cognac drinks and brandy, which amounted to 8.1%. Also the sales of low-alcoholic beverages increased by 6.7%, sparkling wines and champagne by 4.5% and other alcoholic beverages by 4.3%.
