Her relatives were also questioned.
Two new criminal cases have been opened against Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, and her relatives have been interrogated. Her husband, Andrei Sharenda, shared on Facebook.
According to him, the cases were initiated under Article 422 of the Criminal Code (Failure to comply with preventive supervision) and Article 361 of the Criminal Code (Calls for sanctions or other actions aimed at harming Belarus’s national security).
“It just so happens that yesterday, Facebook blocked Palina’s account without explanation. This is already the second time in a row. Attempts to appeal this decision have been unsuccessful. As with the first time, the account didn’t last even three days. It’s clear that the Lukashenko regime is flooding Palina’s account with complaints, and the Facebook algorithms are responding,” he wrote.
Recall that on February 1, it became known that Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk was released after serving her fourth sentence. She had spent four years and one month behind bars.
The Brest activist and mother of two, Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, was arrested in January 2021 and sentenced to two years in prison in June under Articles 364, 368, and 369 of the Criminal Code. She was sent to the women's colony #4 in Homel to serve her sentence.
She would have been released in 2022, but in the colony, she was repeatedly placed in solitary confinement for alleged violations of prison rules. In February 2022, a new criminal case was opened under Article 411 of the Criminal Code (Persistent disobedience to the requirements of the administration of the correctional institution). In April, the court of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Homel found her guilty and sentenced her to an additional year in prison.
After serving her extended sentence, Palina was supposed to be released from the colony on August 6, 2023. However, another criminal case was opened against her under Article 411 of the Criminal Code. In October 2023, she was sentenced to another year in prison.
